Shipping Information

At Shumie.co.za, our team will work hard as possible to get your order safely shipped as quickly as possible. All orders will be processed from Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm SAST. For any orders received after 4:00pm, please allow one more business day to process the order. Note: Shumie.co.za uses PAXI and AREMAX services for all shipments. We have a plan to include other courier companies later on.

Processing Time: Allow 1 – 3 business days for us to pick, pack, and prepare your order. Once your package has been shipped, a shipping confirmation SMS will be sent.

If you select PAXI as your courier of choice we request that you send us an email with your name, order number, phone number and the name of your nearest mall with any PEP, PEP home, PEP Cell and Shoe City Stores

Shipping Information for South Africa

Expedited Parcel USA (7 – 14 business days)

FREE shipping all over South Africa for orders over R700.00.

Orders below R700.00 will be subject to a prevailing PEP and AREMAX shipping fee.

PAXI 3-5 Working days R100.00

PAXI 7-9 Working days R60.00

AREMAX 3-5 Working days R130

Shumie.co.za does NOT add EXTRA charges on the shipping fee.

* Order(s) may qualify for additional shipping charges depending on the size, weight, bulk and location of the order(s). However, customers will always be contacted before any such charge is added. We are currently unable to accept returns from selected locations. If you have a problem with your order, please contact us at [email protected].

Tracking an Order 

Once an order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number from Shumie.co.za that has been provided by PEP/AREMAX. If the tracking information states that your package has been delivered, but you cannot locate it, please check for the following: 

  • (For PEP) check with the PEP you gave Shumie.co.za as your nearest shop.
  • (For AREMAX) Check with the nearest Depot

Shumie.co.za will not be held responsible if a package is lost in transit.

Order Address Errors

Please double check that you have provided the correct shipping information during checkout. We create shipping labels directly from the information presented during checkout. 

If you incorrectly entered your address during the checkout process, it will be “Returned to Sender” via PAXI. For this reason you will be charged an additional fee before the corrections to your address will be made. You will be contacted regarding the cost of the return and reshipment of your order.   

Shipping Charges for Returning an Order

The shipping charge for returning an order is the responsibility of the customer. If we made a mistake in regards to your order, then of course, we will take care of the shipping costs for you.   

Safe Drop Shipments

We do not “Safe Drop” orders – which means that we do not leave shipments at vacant locations.

We pride ourselves on our service and product quality. We hope that every customer will be completely satisfied with his or her purchase; however, we realize that returns are sometimes necessary.

1.  Returns

In accordance with global retail industry standards, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of haircare cosmetics unless damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied. To be eligible for a return, your damaged, faulty item must be in the original packaging, unused and unopened, in the same condition that you received it. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase order number to be sent to [email protected].  The price of the returned product will be provided in a gift voucher to the site or a refund to the credit card used to purchase.

2.  Refunds
Refunds (if applicable) must be requested within 7 working days of receiving your product.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

2.1  Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.  Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

2.2  Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.  We will offer an online voucher in return.

3.  Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected] and send your item to: 220 Lengau Street, Meadowlands. Johannesburg Gauteng ZA 1852.

4.  Gift return
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 

5.  Shipping
To return your product, you should send your product to 220 Lengau Street, Meadowlands. Johannesburg Gauteng ZA 1852. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary according to regular shipping lead times.
